Bang Hairstyles by Stylist Jamie Nguyen

Here are some things you should consider before getting bangs:

The type of bang hairstyle really depends on you and your everyday routine. Although it may not sound like a big deal to some, cutting your bangs or fringe is actually a big decision. You are changing your look completely, and what if you don’t like it? Bangs can be the best thing you have ever done, or something you wish you hadn’t.

Bangs are high maintenance and require some work. If you want your fringe to always look pretty, be prepared to spend some time on it. Bangs need to be styled daily, tamed at night, during workouts, and kept at a decent length for the best results. Which brings us to the next thing.

After getting your bangs cut, you enjoy them for a few weeks and then realize that they have gotten way too long for your liking! Bangs can grow much faster than you think. You then have to clip them out the way or they are partially blocking your vision. To avoid this, plan on being able to trim your bangs to keep them at their optimal length. No, please don’t cut your own bangs! As tempting as it sounds, cutting bangs requires a special technique.

Cutting bangs is not the problem but growing them out is! There will come a time when you want to grow your bangs out. Growing out your bangs completely can seem like the slowest process, even though it’s amazing to see how fast they grow.

Keep in mind that hair does eventually grow out, so don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new! Just remember to consider the points mentioned above.
