bangs:</p>
<blockquote style="border: none; margin: 0px 0px 0px 40px; padding: 0px; text-align: left;"><p class="MsoNormal">The type of bang hairstyle really depends on you and your
everyday routine. Although it may not sound like a big deal to some, cutting
your bangs or fringe is actually a big decision. You are changing your look
completely, and what if you don’t like it? Bangs can be the best thing you have
ever done, or something you wish you hadn’t.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Bangs are high maintenance and require some work. If you
want your fringe to always look pretty, be prepared to spend some time on it. Bangs
need to be styled daily, tamed at night, during workouts, and kept at a decent
length for the best results. Which brings us to the next thing.</p><p class="MsoNormal">After getting your bangs cut, you enjoy them for a few weeks
and then realize that they have gotten way too long for your liking! Bangs can
grow much faster than you think. You then have to clip them out the way or they
are partially blocking your vision. To avoid this, plan on being able to trim
your bangs to keep them at their optimal length. No, please don’t cut your own
bangs! As tempting as it sounds, cutting bangs requires a special technique.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Cutting bangs is not the problem but growing them out is!
There will come a time when you want to grow your bangs out. Growing out your
bangs completely can seem like the slowest process, even though it’s amazing to
see how fast they grow.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Keep in mind that hair does eventually grow out, so don’t be
afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new! Just remember to
consider the points mentioned above. </p></blockquote><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt;">It is completely safe and
comfortable to sleep with hair extensions in. However, there are a few steps
you must take before you can sleep securely with the extensions. New users of
hair extensions may not be aware of the intricate procedures they need to
follow in order to avoid damaging the extensions or their own hair, which could
make for a restless night. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 20pt;">After a long day, your hair
is prone to becoming </span><span style="font-size: 26.6667px;">tangled,</span><span style="font-size: 20pt;"> so you want to brush your hair with a good
detangling brush. Investing in the right hairbrush will enable you to complete
the task and ensure that knots are avoided. You want to be gentle. Starting at
the ends of your hair, gently brush between the extensions as you begin to
brush your hair. By doing this, damage of any kind will be avoided. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt;">They best way to protect the
hair extensions may be to braid them. The hair is kept in place by braids. Whether
you have medium-length or long hair, loose braids will prevent knots from
forming overnight. You could even tie it up with a ponytail. By doing this,
the hair will prevent any breakage. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt;">Try sleeping with a silk
pillowcase is best for your hairs as well as your skin. A silk pillow has less
friction on your hair than other pillowcases, they are superior to all other
types of pillowcases. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt;">The most crucial rule for
protecting your hair extensions is to never go to bed with wet hair. Your hair
follicles are more fragile when they are wet, it is terrible to have damp or
wet hair before bed because it can lead to severe tangles and knots.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">Layers are a great way to change up a look, maybe you feel
that your hair is too thin or too thick and wonder how you can make it feel
lighter or fuller. Your hair texture, density, and pattern can make or break
your final look. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Layers are when the top
portions of your hair are cut shorter than hair underneath. Layers can range
from short to long – gradual flow of layers from the shortest layer to longest
length – or disconnected, with a layer much shorter than the overall length. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">Your hair can feel heavy if not cut in a certain way. Layering
removes or balances the bulk in the hair, which shortens the drying time. Layering
on thin and straight looks wispy or straggly. However, if done right, layering
can help add volume. It will not only add volume to your hair but also flatter
your face. Layers are perfect for bringing life to dull hair and can make your
hair more manageable. Layered haircuts can also add dimension but single length
hair does not. Layers can also enhance your face and hides facial flaws. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">When in doubt, do things gradually. Add in the layers
slowly or work to grow them out bit by bit. Layers often call for more styling
products, and frequent salon visits. The harsh truth that layers make it
difficult to be tired back in a ponytail or even braiding seem impossible. The
bottom line is that every haircut has its pros and cons. But layered hair comes
with lots of pros; for instance, layers make thin hair look thicker and thick hair look heavy, while on the other hand, layers require high maintenance, and
can be limits styling. <o:p></o:p></p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-49557509539171526692024-01-30T08:16:00.000-08:002024-01-30T08:16:29.833-08:00Grey Blending Highlights: A New Way To Transition Grey Hair by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p style="text-align: center;"> </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVFunT5NbPmgFqHyi_yfvJyrdfD301f1QNqwrXRLuDdrbVPpL9BSfQaxOkqDOW6UdvAkCAuUv8GGOQ-3R_AM9o9woV7ah_uAd1hhEMgf9M__HXpF7ET7dYBVk7NOjdutIZfgkavCKGaMpHxyHbCWytMMH1KNOimSojRe985MlCgOJ3gT0BxD-qaR7hRESP/s960/blogpic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="540" height="508" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVFunT5NbPmgFqHyi_yfvJyrdfD301f1QNqwrXRLuDdrbVPpL9BSfQaxOkqDOW6UdvAkCAuUv8GGOQ-3R_AM9o9woV7ah_uAd1hhEMgf9M__HXpF7ET7dYBVk7NOjdutIZfgkavCKGaMpHxyHbCWytMMH1KNOimSojRe985MlCgOJ3gT0BxD-qaR7hRESP/w390-h508/blogpic.jpg" width="390" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">Grey Blending Highlights: A New Way To Transition Grey Hair</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Are you looking for a color technique that is
low-maintenance, effortlessly beautiful, and will allow you to transition into
embracing your grey hair? Look no further than grey blending highlights.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Grey blending adds dimension and depth to your hair, which
can also help with making thinner hair look thicker. Going grey isn’t the only
thing you is going through when it comes to aging. Our hair begins to thin as
we get older, fortunately the grey blending beauty trend can give thinning hair
a volumizing boost with the illusion of movement. One-dimensional hair colors
can often make hair look flat or dull. Depth and dimension can be achieved with
the grey blending technique and can give our hair the illusion of fullness.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The art of grey blending is a great way to embrace the
natural change and transition to mostly or fully grey hair. Grey blending will
let you keep your natural hair color while still enhancing it and welcome any
incoming silver strands. Typical color services at the salon often work to
cover up natural hair color or grey hairs, but with grey blending it works to
actually incorporate the grey tones into your look. The transitional look
between the incoming grey hair color with your original hair color can provide
a new, natural look. Grey blending does not require too much upkeep, which
makes it an effortless look instead of covering up your grey hair entirely.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Going grey can be made easier and more stylish with
blending. It provides a natural, stylish look instead of the patches of greys
some may experience. Grey blending is ideal for those that have about 25
percent grey hair coverage. There needs to be enough of natural grey coming in
to blend into the original hair color. Are you ready to start your transition?</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">If you have decided that grey blending is right for you,
you’ll want to ensure your hair care routine keep up! Using color-safe products
will prolong their longevity for your new salon-treated hair. Color-safe means
that a product can do what it’s intended to without pulling out the color of
your treated hair. Keep in mind that not all products are color-safe. Grey hair
can become yellow and brassy, so purple shampoo and conditioners are a great
way to offset that and give more shine to the hair. (Purple is the opposite
color of yellow in the color-wheel).</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">If you start to notice that your grey or white hair is
becoming yellow or brassy, we have a fix for that. Redken’s Blondage or
Kerastase’s Blond Absolu line can calm those unwanted, brassy tones and give
you that sleek and cool silver look.<o:p></o:p></p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-32071590946555175292024-01-19T08:50:00.000-08:002024-01-19T08:51:15.394-08:00Are Hair Extensions Damaging? by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p> </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">Are Hair Extensions Damaging?!<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">No, hair extensions will not damage your hair if they are
fitted professionally and are cared for well. In the past, hair extensions had
a bad reputation simply because there were not many options available. Clip-in
extensions were visible in the hair and cause strain on the follicles due to
poorly designed clips, which resulted in pulling at the root. Nowadays, there
are so many alternatives of hair extensions that cause absolutely no damage.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Extensions will not tangle unless you fail to care for them,
just the same as if you were dealing with completely natural hair. The most
important hair extension tip is to always be able to attend your maintenance hair appointments. The maintenance hair appointments will ensure that your extensions
remain in great condition, last as long as possible, and do not damage the
follicles.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Always, you should only use the right hair care products
recommended by a hair care professional. These will be the best products to prolong the life and health of
both your extensions and natural hair. <o:p></o:p></p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-54914427282542876382023-12-14T11:03:00.000-08:002023-12-14T11:03:22.101-08:00Prep for your Festive Look by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQJX-hMmLnr7IrqMkDfBhZpsmmkXcJne1OWmW-ukUtwSFvJ1Q2kaJ14ldiVi0fKCN3fSSyit2dJpVIu_exciYyIy43EHL1wugTu04iTKEBGRCMnlmDMxSN0bEflWPgKathP7gk8yMa12S9QpENwmfZMe7wwYWtx-mqvJ1STqDkcPeXHsM3_zY64_QR-ATJ/s874/hairtip.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="874" data-original-width="620" height="546" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQJX-hMmLnr7IrqMkDfBhZpsmmkXcJne1OWmW-ukUtwSFvJ1Q2kaJ14ldiVi0fKCN3fSSyit2dJpVIu_exciYyIy43EHL1wugTu04iTKEBGRCMnlmDMxSN0bEflWPgKathP7gk8yMa12S9QpENwmfZMe7wwYWtx-mqvJ1STqDkcPeXHsM3_zY64_QR-ATJ/w387-h546/hairtip.jpg" width="387" /></a></div><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">Prep for your Festive Look</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Here are a few top tips to prepare your hair for styling:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Before getting right into creating your Christmas hairdo, it
is crucial to prep your hair properly. You want to start by washing and
conditioning your hair with products that will leave it clean, soft, and
manageable. This will make the styling process easier and ensure that your hair
will look its best. Remember to shield your hair with a heat protectant before
styling it.</p>

people. And to keep color-treated hair in top-notch condition, treating and
maintaining it with the right products is essential. That is where the Redken
Color Extend Magnetics line comes in.<span style="text-align: center;"> </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<p class="MsoNormal">Redken Color Extend Magnetics helps preserve your hair color
longer while nourishing and strengthening it, protecting your hair from damage
caused by color treatments. This line includes a shampoo, conditioner, and deep
conditioning mask that all work together to keep your hair looking vibrant and
shiny while also nourishing it. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The formula in this line is sulphate-free, making it
suitable for daily use. However, it is recommended to alternate with a
moisturizing shampoo, especially if you have dry or damaged hair. Color Extend
Magnetics can also be beneficial for bleached hair. Lightening can cause damage
to your hair, and Redken Color Extend Magnetics can help repair and strengthen
it. The deep mask also provides intense conditioning to help restore moisture
and elasticity to bleached hair.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The Deep Attraction Mask is a treatment that helps prevent
breakage and split ends while also improving your hair’s overall texture and
appearance. Using the mask regularly can help to keep your hair looking and
feeling healthy and vibrant. <o:p></o:p></p></div><p><br /> </p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-15485185730970392962023-10-31T09:19:00.002-07:002023-10-31T09:19:31.434-07:00Winter Hair Care Tips by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVWksXVbimRbTYxiJzpTztXZfcUZXUk5qs9Pn4MpBrx5e6_qRnLvU6EbQPGA8i1JwM6cmr5a56pkRcMkqaDPdqSasEhgehZ2GI9TYuDEF50h6HvTR_t3h6UK5g8TIdTD_XnSBfmQs_tKD2MQCbkgz2oxA1CHb8TLxsKDukv4PaAfEO0UI9XBYn-XRFS_R1/s1493/winterhairtips.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1493" data-original-width="1179" height="730" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVWksXVbimRbTYxiJzpTztXZfcUZXUk5qs9Pn4MpBrx5e6_qRnLvU6EbQPGA8i1JwM6cmr5a56pkRcMkqaDPdqSasEhgehZ2GI9TYuDEF50h6HvTR_t3h6UK5g8TIdTD_XnSBfmQs_tKD2MQCbkgz2oxA1CHb8TLxsKDukv4PaAfEO0UI9XBYn-XRFS_R1/w577-h730/winterhairtips.jpg" width="577" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><b>Winter Hair Care Tips</b><o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><b>Get regular trims!</b> Trimming your hair every four to
eight weeks is a good way to maintain hair health and keep your hair looking
fresh. By just taking a half inch off of the bottom will reduce the chances of
developing dry, split ends.<span style="text-align: center;"> </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Lower the water temperature when you shower!</b> A
steamy, hot shower might be something you look forward to after a long day at
work. But hot water can zap moisture from your hair making it brittle and more
vulnerable to breaking. Wash your hair with lukewarm water and follow with a
cool rinse instead. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Avoid heat styling!</b> Allow your hair to air dry is the
best. Blow drying draws moisture out of your hair increasing the chance of
breakage. Heat-free drying helps to keep your hair shiny and healthy. Embrace
your natural hair and air-dry whenever possible.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Use an oil treatment. </b>Restore moisture with an
oil-based hair treatment. When it comes to choosing an oil, choose one that has
a lightweight leave-in formula to revitalize dry, damaged hair. Apply oil at
the ends daily to replenish moisture and protect your hair. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Avoid frequent hair washes. </b>Over-washing your hair
will strip it of natural oils that help to keep hair moisturized and protected.
Try extending the time between your washes as much as possible. Another way to
help extend the time between washes is to use dry shampoo. Dry shampoo opens up
the hair shaft and brings life back to your lifestyle. It also keeps your hair
smelling and looking fresh. <o:p></o:p></p></div><p><br /> </p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-91487482508915633652023-10-10T08:14:00.000-07:002023-10-10T08:14:53.065-07:00Guide to Treating Dry Hair by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkGTmiZIsfSEkhZwd_vFho1BNBiUeGe-kUYAY41v4hcQ3rgWQu5MXpjye_M45BfHqX3jSaQtdngDEZLA-nlMivIwoYZAxd1bFYBo975aU-E6pd6ryd1UGwF6Wt__5ysPF7bL1hpnQvY-JQwaYvOadpWWlwIBFlm-ocb-Gp-mWLdVpZ1yoZzD1omOJUOikZ/s1000/all%20soft.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="772" height="643" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkGTmiZIsfSEkhZwd_vFho1BNBiUeGe-kUYAY41v4hcQ3rgWQu5MXpjye_M45BfHqX3jSaQtdngDEZLA-nlMivIwoYZAxd1bFYBo975aU-E6pd6ryd1UGwF6Wt__5ysPF7bL1hpnQvY-JQwaYvOadpWWlwIBFlm-ocb-Gp-mWLdVpZ1yoZzD1omOJUOikZ/w496-h643/all%20soft.jpg" width="496" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Of all the hair issues out there, dry hair is probably one
of the worst. Dehydration shows itself by way of breakage and dullness. Dry
hair can be caused by many things, including over-use of hot tools, over
processed hair, low quality shampoo, or just lack of proper hair care in
general.<span style="text-align: center;"> </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">What causes dry hair?<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">Genetics – No matter what you do, some hair types are just
naturally dryer than others. Curly hair is more difficult for the natural oils
in your scalp to make it down to the strands, so you will need more help from
nourishing ingredients in shampoo, conditioner, and styling creams to give your
hair the hydration it needs.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">Color Processing – Hair with color in it will feel different
than virgin hair does. Over processed hair can lead to dryness. Because of
this, it is important to use the proper products to restore hair to its
healthier state.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">Heat Styling – Over the years of using hot tools can start
to show themselves on your hair strands. Putting a hot tool on unprotected hair
can leave permanent dryness and damage.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">How to prevent dry hair:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">Use an appropriate moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for
your hair type that can help with the battle of dry hair. With the addition of
a deep treatment moisturizing mask can make a difference for dry hair. The less
heat that you use on your hair the better. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">Redken’s All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner is made with a
protein complex that offers 15 times more conditioning than other products on
the market. This line will be your best bet for keeping your hair properly
hydrated. If your hair is slightly dry, All Soft will do.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">How to treat dry hair:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">One of the best ways to treat dry hair is with a trim to get
rid of breakage and the split ends. The All Soft Mega Mask will restore shine,
softness, and smoothness to your strands. This mask provides deep conditioning
that helps strengthen damaged hair from the root down. <o:p></o:p></p></div><p><br /> </p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-19037385400747794182023-10-02T13:38:00.001-07:002023-10-02T13:43:45.511-07:00Kerastase Fusio Dose Treatments by Stylist Jamie Nguyen <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEc9x8mTOfx3Ookbul53G7YUJ1I8W40QZAXwuI3Nlczanpy-dY4VbBFCfVhmiUQ0m7TExfygT93J1sSUC9EX930hDFG3XQT7Q3Fg6imXh20gDY7-43Cl2aKFEQ39YenGu2zzCOsDg-98W5YDDVRrCVEmJDADPKxKTvDE6pB-Amfea5QTl7ho_JsnnNw7B7/s1000/kerastase.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="772" height="671" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEc9x8mTOfx3Ookbul53G7YUJ1I8W40QZAXwuI3Nlczanpy-dY4VbBFCfVhmiUQ0m7TExfygT93J1sSUC9EX930hDFG3XQT7Q3Fg6imXh20gDY7-43Cl2aKFEQ39YenGu2zzCOsDg-98W5YDDVRrCVEmJDADPKxKTvDE6pB-Amfea5QTl7ho_JsnnNw7B7/w518-h671/kerastase.jpg" width="518" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-61277516628150450162023-09-11T09:43:00.001-07:002023-09-11T09:43:33.862-07:00Kerastase Symbiose Hair Care by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF8MJ4mzWTji2bSO3QyaVQqLqR1corIolrr34Yh7qmEknp82zp5en0Oi31j33yaSzpB0VUJ1ssGmTZEnpuAT10QK6VGo-dYClkDCFGi9A3UfEuAq9UmNMIrl_QhnBYG0KvDo5NRqvJL8syzjoWjSnPIFhPcqA0gcAm8eIW5hrexGlI-0IqYRncR00EblJr/s1000/blogsymbiose.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1000" data-original-width="772" height="599" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgF8MJ4mzWTji2bSO3QyaVQqLqR1corIolrr34Yh7qmEknp82zp5en0Oi31j33yaSzpB0VUJ1ssGmTZEnpuAT10QK6VGo-dYClkDCFGi9A3UfEuAq9UmNMIrl_QhnBYG0KvDo5NRqvJL8syzjoWjSnPIFhPcqA0gcAm8eIW5hrexGlI-0IqYRncR00EblJr/w461-h599/blogsymbiose.jpg" width="461" /></a></div><p></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 15pt;">Kerastase Symbiose:
Anti-Dandruff Hair Care</span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 15.0pt;"><br /></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 15.0pt;">If
dry dandruff flakes have got you down, know that you are not the only one.
Dandruff is one of the most common scalp concerns worldwide. Anti-dandruff
products are often focused only on the anti-dandruff effect, can have an
unpleasant smell, and provide almost no care for the hair fiber. You were
basically forced to choose between dandruff treatment and hair care. But that
is over now!<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 15.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 15.0pt;">For
the first time on the anti-dandruff market, you will not have to compromise
anymore. With Kerastase Symbiose you can enjoy instant benefits with luxurious
care. The formula in Symbiose means you won’t have to choose between a luxury
in-shower experience when you want to say goodbye to dandruff flakes. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 15.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 15.0pt;">What
are the Benefits of Symbiose? <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 15pt;">Dandruff
is not only a hygiene issue that is caused by </span><span style="font-size: 20px;">bacteria,</span><span style="font-size: 15pt;"> but it is actually
caused by the accelerated speed of cellular renewal. We all shed </span><span style="font-size: 20px;">skin,</span><span style="font-size: 15pt;"> and a
healthy scalp usually renews its cells every 14 days but when dandruff occurs
the skin overproduces </span><span style="font-size: 20px;">cells,</span><span style="font-size: 15pt;"> and the renewal process lessens to 7 days. Normally,
these dead cells are washed away by shampoo and are not visible in the hair.
However, in a dandruff scalp, cellular renewal speed is 2x faster than a
healthy scalp. The cell layers of the skin do not have enough time to naturally
regenerate and dandruff forms.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 15.0pt;">Symbiose
acts more deeply than existing anti-dandruff products, it allows you to
immediately remove visible dead skin cells, regulate renewal speed and restore
the balance of the scalp. It also replenishes fiber moisture for healthy hair
again. <o:p></o:p></span></p></div><p><br /> </p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-73396094478248967792023-08-28T13:26:00.005-07:002023-08-28T13:27:15.179-07:00All About Teleties by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p style="text-align: center;"> </p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">TELETIES</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikDtHONg66DroTEGvTUnenZjvvKSHm2047PTmodmk4lufYe2bGFcyL6aauoAI4y69Z7DLPeCZj-KS3VFRh7Ls82Nv7Ir_47fw0aHl4hDqU3Mqm6fSeIc_WStRkyEZ8KX8iAgPxXk-3UWYZu6mfj9fI1Xi_YsJuKON-UkGXKsriXFPyuqpoTHlM5wb_Z-DR/s960/Hair%20Loss%20Tips%20Reminder%20Instagram%20Story%203.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="540" height="420" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikDtHONg66DroTEGvTUnenZjvvKSHm2047PTmodmk4lufYe2bGFcyL6aauoAI4y69Z7DLPeCZj-KS3VFRh7Ls82Nv7Ir_47fw0aHl4hDqU3Mqm6fSeIc_WStRkyEZ8KX8iAgPxXk-3UWYZu6mfj9fI1Xi_YsJuKON-UkGXKsriXFPyuqpoTHlM5wb_Z-DR/w388-h420/Hair%20Loss%20Tips%20Reminder%20Instagram%20Story%203.jpg" width="388" /></a></div><br /><p></p>

Told Me This</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">Do you ever feel unprepared when you go to get your hair
done, whether it would be for a formal event or new highlights? Do you wish you
knew what you are getting into so there are no surprises? Here are a few tips
and tricks below to help prepare you for your next hair appointment and what to
expect.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><b><u>Special Event/Wedding</u></b></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: left; text-indent: -0.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]-->1.<span style="font-feature-settings: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span>Make sure that your inspiration photos are
realistic. Try to find hairstyles that match the density of your hair and the
length!<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: left; text-indent: -0.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]-->2.<span style="font-feature-settings: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span>There is a common trend that is said everywhere
that you must come in with dirty hair. That is false and can lead to problems
with styling your hair. When the hair is too dirty, it is heavier because of
the oils, and the stylist must use more products than normal to get your hair
to cooperate. Come into your appointment with semi-clean, dry hair and your
stylist will thank you for it. Trust me!<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: left; text-indent: -0.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]-->3.<span style="font-feature-settings: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; line-height: normal;">
</span><!--[endif]-->Sometimes your curls won’t last all day if you
want those very loose beach waves. We recommend getting your curls a little
tighter so they will fall over the course of the day to the style that you
love.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><b><u>Salon</u></b></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: left; text-indent: -0.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]-->1.<span style="font-feature-settings: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span>Stop the purple shampoo 2 weeks before your
appointment date if you are getting highlights or a balayage. Hairstylists need
to know the true tone of your hair. <b><u><o:p></o:p></u></b></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: left; text-indent: -0.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]-->2.<span style="font-feature-settings: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; line-height: normal;"> </span>The long-term effects of lighting your hair can
be unknown given your hair history. The service will leave your hair more
damaged and knottier than before. Also, if you decide you want to go back to
the dark hair, the darker color will fade more quickly so you would have to, in
turn, color it dark more often to keep it dark.<b><u><o:p></o:p></u></b></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: left; text-indent: -0.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]-->3.<span style="font-feature-settings: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-size: 7pt; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; line-height: normal;">
</span><!--[endif]-->Getting your hair colored whether you want
highlights, or a full color correction may take a little longer than you think.
It could be an all-day event! Take the day off and be prepared to sit in the
chair for quite a few hours and enjoy the service. <b><u><o:p></o:p></u></b></p></div><p><br /> </p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-83194537027104836272023-07-24T11:14:00.003-07:002023-07-24T11:14:49.155-07:00How to Take Care of Curly Hair by Stylist Jamie Nguyen <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ2-j_ypNACrkw6Jt2gUiR5UsaNxMDpFbP_zbTKK7RsSivHrciNl-_jCMsx1-WH5kvqFZj87NWhbPWAsJ7i1nkzlVUTv_lArDIRPDHnuK5wvPxXMkdvQt1ZuxXMX8_uv3Vzicm8ZuAN5pwGGe_NRWAOJ4Cut619qeJ4k9LYjp1rtzCiEfYpZeBYI6SZ7de/s540/CURLYHAIR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="540" data-original-width="540" height="465" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ2-j_ypNACrkw6Jt2gUiR5UsaNxMDpFbP_zbTKK7RsSivHrciNl-_jCMsx1-WH5kvqFZj87NWhbPWAsJ7i1nkzlVUTv_lArDIRPDHnuK5wvPxXMkdvQt1ZuxXMX8_uv3Vzicm8ZuAN5pwGGe_NRWAOJ4Cut619qeJ4k9LYjp1rtzCiEfYpZeBYI6SZ7de/w465-h465/CURLYHAIR.jpg" width="465" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 15.0pt;">For all the curly haired
folks, while you may get all the compliments for your unique locks, you also
dread taking care of it! As stylists, we understand how coarse, dry, and frizzy
your hair can get. Curls can be unpredictable and very difficult to control. </span><span style="font-size: 15pt;">The difference between
fighting with your curls and loving them really lies within your hair care
routine. With the right products, care, and hairstyles that can make a
difference in your curly hair game.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 15.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 15.0pt;">Washing your hair is the
first and most important step in any hair care routine. Cleansing your hair
ensures that there is no product buildup, dead skin cells, or excess oil on
your scalp. You also want to avoid excessive shampooing limiting it to every 2
or 3 days. Curly hair tends to become dry very easily, and over doing it can
suck out its natural moisture. Always condition the hair which ensures that the
cuticle gets sealed and protected against environmental damage. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 15.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 15.0pt;">To keep your hair curly, you
can use a curl cream to define the curls. Avoid using too much product as it
can weigh down your hair. Hairsprays and hair gels can also keep your curly
hairstyles in place. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 15.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 15.0pt;">The high temperature from
heat styling tools can remove the natural texture of your curls, making them
look dull and lifeless. Limit the use of heat styling and use a good heat
protectant spray. Heat protectants help get your hair prepared for the heat
source of your choice by using silicone compounds to coat the hair with a water-resistant
and heat-protective layer. <o:p></o:p></span></p></div><p><br /> </p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-10778506331758355002023-07-11T13:56:00.003-07:002023-07-11T13:57:00.711-07:00Toning Shampoo for Blondes by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVTDiLUWxO0a8nsd_FRrXLrtKlmFDrxq8mvy9TQ9V0rYfoJKAvnWi4n4J9mjbv2hMVYVzQLkmi_vT9QHpaUK0qVKTK6CRt1haFiapRfz2ENlG3KPImi2-g9STpCVclf_RtdauAeeZqz9pmuS517TPcBLtk_Q-ezqwsBEXKRIQgQ8CE8_sVPMVq9fWNd8w1/s960/purple.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="540" height="641" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVTDiLUWxO0a8nsd_FRrXLrtKlmFDrxq8mvy9TQ9V0rYfoJKAvnWi4n4J9mjbv2hMVYVzQLkmi_vT9QHpaUK0qVKTK6CRt1haFiapRfz2ENlG3KPImi2-g9STpCVclf_RtdauAeeZqz9pmuS517TPcBLtk_Q-ezqwsBEXKRIQgQ8CE8_sVPMVq9fWNd8w1/w471-h641/purple.jpg" width="471" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif;">Purple
Shampoo Can Fix Brassy Hair</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif;">Maintaining
brilliant blonde is actually easier than you think! From the time that you
leave the salon, factors like the sun, chlorine, or hard water contribute to
what we call brassiness (or unwanted warm, yellow tones) in your hair.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif;">So what is
purple shampoo?<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif;">It is
simply a shampoo that contains purple or violet-colored pigments. The shampoo
cleanses hair and removes oil and buildup while adding the purple pigments to
counteract the brassy tones. Salon Sanity has a few of different strengths and
price points of purple shampoo and is one of the most affordable at-home toning
options to prolong going between appointments. Blondes are not the only ones
who can benefit from purple shampoo; platinum, silver, and highlighted hair can
get the same brightening effects.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif;">How to use
purple shampoo at home:<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif;">It is
important to read all the directions on the packaging to understand timing and how
often to use it when it comes to toning brassy hair at home. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif;">All
formulas vary and may contain different levels of pigmentation. The more
pigment your purple shampoo contains, the more you can expect stronger color
correcting results.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif;">Depending
on your level of brassiness and how frequently you wash your hair, a good rule
of thumb is to start out by using your purple shampoo once a week. Many of the
formulas suggest washing and repeating or washing and letting the product sit
in for a few minutes. In between washes using the purple shampoo, you will want
to switch it up with a sulfate free shampoo. If you ever notice your hair
taking on too much of a purple hue, a simple wash with a clarifying shampoo
will instantly help. Purple shampoos can have a tendency to be a little bit on
the drying side. It is important to always follow with a conditioner or hair
mask to replenish moisture and shine. <o:p></o:p></span></p><br /><p></p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-84746208568916648072023-06-28T11:36:00.003-07:002023-06-28T11:36:26.443-07:00 Seven Different Hair Washing Mistakes by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p> </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgA8jXILvRlBzBcGF_14jurpgqQBzOiD7_tnPhOsIVz3n9LXjL2dIHu0SW6V9y7FmGejUpLwiD4sDOoG8DNxG_Qdzy97ed5ZMckI0uOhL2qsBOLIaEpKlxhdE0oEBRc4SRcVmAMpTszYb6HwTNSJV-PtB_Rg1W0rVDSPI6PChqH5QvAtZon5c7oFbopffnV" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="321" data-original-width="248" height="341" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgA8jXILvRlBzBcGF_14jurpgqQBzOiD7_tnPhOsIVz3n9LXjL2dIHu0SW6V9y7FmGejUpLwiD4sDOoG8DNxG_Qdzy97ed5ZMckI0uOhL2qsBOLIaEpKlxhdE0oEBRc4SRcVmAMpTszYb6HwTNSJV-PtB_Rg1W0rVDSPI6PChqH5QvAtZon5c7oFbopffnV=w263-h341" width="263" /></a></div><br /><br /><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Don’t Make These 7 Hair
Washing Mistakes!<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">You may be causing more harm
than good.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Mistake #1 – You May Be
Washing Too Often<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">For most people, there is no
need to wash your hair daily. If you’re washing too often this can leave a
drying effect on our scalp, causing it to produce even more oil. If you have
fine and thin hair, it is best to wash your hair no more than every other day.
If your hair is medium, thick, or normal, aim for washing approximately twice a
week. A great option is to apply dry shampoo on the days in between washes to
keep your strands looking, feeling, and smelling clean!<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Mistake #2 – Not Detangling
Before the Shower <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Hair becomes more breakable
and fragile when wet, so it is best to detangle it before you take a shower.
Use a wet brush and gently work your way from your ends up to your roots to
detangle. This step will make hair washing easier and less painful.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Mistake #3 – Using the Same
Shampoo Every Time<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Our hair needs change here
and there, so why should we use the same shampoo? Seasons, lifestyle and
hobbies can dictate these needs. For the colder, dryer months, your hair is
going to crave a more moisturizing formula, whereas in the summer, you may need
a lighter, refreshing one. If you are using a lot of styling products and do
not wash your hair as often, you may want to get a clarifying shampoo to give
it a deep clean. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Mistake #4 – Better Technique
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Learning the correct way to
shampoo your hair can help cut down on damage and also leave you with hair that
looks and feels cleaner. Make sure your hair is thoroughly saturated with water
to ensure an even shampoo application. Next, apply the shampoo directly to your
palms and rub them together to create a light lather. Take your lathered palms
and work them evenly through your hair, making sure to cover all areas of the
hair and scalp. Always rinse and then repeat the process a second time. You
want to avoid aggressive, circular motions as these can cause angles and
breakage. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Mistake #5 – Skipping Your
Scalp<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">A gentle massage with the
pads of your fingers helps to remove stubborn buildup and promotes circulation,
which is essential to healthy hair growth. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Mistake #6 – Using Too Much
or Too Little Conditioner<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Conditioner is a necessity
for keeping our hair soft, shiny, and manageable. If using too little, it may
be difficult to detangle. Using too much may have your hair feeling dirty or
greasy. Most people really only need to apply it to the bottom of the hair
shaft. If you are having trouble to apply an even application, try using a wide
toothed comb to help distribute the conditioner through your hair.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Mistake #7 – Not Rinsing
Completely<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">This mistake is a very super
important one. If you do not rinse out all of the shampoo or conditioner, you
will be left with dull, dirty-feeling hair. Be sure to avoid rinsing your hair

<p class="MsoNormal">Summer hair, don’t care! Is that the motto of the season?
The beach, swimming pools etc. are super fun but can also take a toll on your
hair if you aren’t careful.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Here’s the thing… Summer is hot. The sun is out, and you’ll probably
be outdoors. The wind causes tangles, and tangles lead to breakage. The ocean
and pool cause buildup in the hair, which also leads to breakage.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Tip #1: Protect your hair from chlorine.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Chlorine makes your hair feel icky. They put chlorine in the
pool to kill everything. Does that sound like something you want in your hair? When
your hair gets wet with chlorinated water, it absorbs the chlorine, which dries
out the sebum. Over time, this will overly-dry your hair, causing the cuticles
to crack and lead to breakage. One super-easy way to protect your hair is to
wet it with non-chlorinated water first, which will cause your hair to absorb
that first.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Tip #2: Clarify and Condition<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">You may not be a big pool swimmer, but it is a good practice
to clarify occasionally to remove buildup. This frees your hair of salt, sand,
chlorine, minerals, excess hair product. After you clarify, you always want to
thoroughly condition your hair and add moisture back in.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Tip #3: Use UV Protection <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The sun dulls your hair and fades your expensive hair color.
Likewise, it damages the cuticle, which leads to dry, brittle hair, split ends,
discoloration, and frizziness. To prevent UV protection, you can use conditioner
to moisturize it and block the UV rays from hitting it.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Tip #4: Alternate Updos<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">If you’re anything like most of us girls, you usually wear
your hair up in the summer. But do try to alternate where you tie it up
every day. If you wear a ponytail in the same place every day, the hair tie will
cause repeated friction that will eventually start to cause breakage and damage
your hair.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Tip #6: Condition<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Remember that conditioner is always your friend, year-round.
This is a crazy easy hair care tip that so many people neglect, but it can’t be
stressed enough. Never skip conditioner and try to condition every day.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Tip #7: Minimize Heat Damage<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Give your hair a break; let it air-dry and cut back on the
hot tools. Remember that the beach tousled look is always in, and it’s
effortless to achieve without heat!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Even though summer is a great time to get outdoors and enjoy
the sunshine, it can quickly lead to damaged hair.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the
festivities of the season. It just means you need to take extra care to
protect your hair. <o:p></o:p></p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-30687379624590873152023-06-13T11:04:00.008-07:002023-06-13T11:18:34.256-07:00Halo Hair Extensions by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZSF7jUWTWEbue-pMkU1Qe6z_kNDDuE3umyrurJFot5kOfqunZpGVGBozJoNuxs69EaSqjfmnWIsqZr6qdF8uxWZmMJX5YjK0RokptR8m_s47WxL9mBWCbK9Y7wHErAP2mowRrVnURvX9Wze6-y4zX7aEIVtc4cV9UTwddWxKVR9XEcOYlp1keb_wR_w/s540/Before%20&%20After%20Hair%20Stylist%20Pictures%20Instagram%20Post.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="540" data-original-width="540" height="440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZSF7jUWTWEbue-pMkU1Qe6z_kNDDuE3umyrurJFot5kOfqunZpGVGBozJoNuxs69EaSqjfmnWIsqZr6qdF8uxWZmMJX5YjK0RokptR8m_s47WxL9mBWCbK9Y7wHErAP2mowRrVnURvX9Wze6-y4zX7aEIVtc4cV9UTwddWxKVR9XEcOYlp1keb_wR_w/w440-h440/Before%20&%20After%20Hair%20Stylist%20Pictures%20Instagram%20Post.jpeg" width="440" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">Everything you need to know about Halo Extensions:<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">They are the absolute best extension options for anyone wanting to add length or thickness to their hair without the commitment of hand tied extensions.</p><p class="MsoNormal">There are so many extension options out there, so it can be very overwhelming and confusing to know which extensions are right for you. Here at Salon Sanity, an extension specialist can help point you in the right direction. These extensions are comfortable and safe on your hair and scalp when worn and installed properly.</p><p class="MsoNormal">What is a Halo?<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Halo extensions are a thick weft of hair that is colored and/or layered that is placed on your head similar to a headband. It has a thin, clear “fishing line” that is super comfortable that hides under your natural hair to make the extension blend in with your hair and it be completely hidden.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Who is a Halo Extension for?<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">A halo is for anyone looking for a low maintenance, most cost friendly, zero damage, but yet still quality hair extension option compared to hand tied extensions. Clip-in extensions can pull out your hair, same with tape-ins. If beads are installed properly, beaded extensions can also cause damage. A halo will not damage your natural hair. Therefore, if you are very concerned about that, a halo is a great option for you.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Halo works best with those who had at least hair to their collarbone. Halos blend best with a layered haircut rather than a blunt one.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Why you will love your Halo:<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">The beauty of Halo hair extensions is you can put it on as quickly as you can take it off. Because you are able to take it off, you don’t have to sleep with extensions which keeps your natural hair as healthy as possible because you won’t be causing any friction on your scalp from your pillow and hair weft. Halo Couture Extensions work for every lifestyle. </p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-87216789445099014162023-04-27T14:58:00.000-07:002023-04-27T14:58:01.817-07:00Tips For Avoiding Heat Damage by Stylist Jamie Nguyen<p> </p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;">Tips for Avoiding Heat Damage: <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;">Healthy hair starts in the shower. At
the end of the day, if you’re not properly cleansing, hydrating, and
conditioning your hair, you will not have a healthy result. This is why we
always recommend using a high-quality shampoo and conditioner that is sulfate
free.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;">No matter if you have straight, fine, coarse,
or curly hair, you should never heat style your hair without applying a heat
protectant. For example, you would never head out the door without applying
your sunscreen first, right? The same concept applies here if you’re looking to
prevent heat damage to your hair. A good, quality heat protectant, such as
Pureology’s 21 Benefits, will provide a protective shield around your hair
cuticles to prevent your hot tools from causing too much damage to your hair.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;">Another tip for avoiding heat damage is
to turn down the heat. One of the biggest mistakes people make when using a hot
iron is turning the heat setting up too high. While temperatures can vary based
on your hair type, it’s typically recommended you stick within the 200-to-300-degree
range. Do not use your hot tools at its highest heat setting. If so, this is
when all hair textures will start to see signs of heat damage no matter how
much heat protectant you apply to your hair.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;">While this is good practice for just
about everyone, nourishing hair treatments are extremely important for those
who regularly heat style or are already struggling with heat damaged hair. A
deep conditioning treatment will not only help replenish your hair’s natural
moisture, but it can also help look and feel smoother once you get out the shower.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="background: black; mso-background-themecolor: text1; text-align: center;"><span style="background: black; color: white; font-family: "Segoe UI Historic",sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; line-height: 107%; mso-highlight: black; mso-shading: #0084FF;">Lastly, anyone who’s ever had heat
damaged hair can likely say that split ends make your hair feel rough. While
there’s no way around split ends, damage conspire is still possible with hair
trims. Keep a schedule with your stylist to ensure you’re ridding your mane of
split ends. This can help prevent them from traveling up the hair shafts and
doing even more damage to your hair.</span><span style="color: white; mso-themecolor: background1;"><o:p></o:p></span></p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1715799003695092797.post-22682991728141945612022-05-16T04:19:00.004-07:002022-05-16T04:19:53.907-07:00All things Heat Protectant by Melissa Bustamante <p> <span class="s2" style="font-size: 10px; than Words.</span></p><p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><o:p></o:p></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Yes, bangs are in style but, confidence is key to rock bangs
in 2022. You’ve been thinking, planning,
looking at pictures, and now you are seriously considering bangs a.k.a. fringe and
now you think you’ve made a decision and are ready to move forward! Remember this is a personal decision so factor
in all of the details before making the final move and ask yourself the
following questions. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Q1 - Do bangs flatter every face shape? <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Square face shapes - should avoid harder, blunt-looking
fringe, but instead try a softer wispy fringe that’s longer around the temples
or a side-swept look.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Round or heart face shape – blunt bangs for sure.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Oval face shapes- any style of fringe.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Another rule to consider: wherever the length of your bangs
ends will draw attention to that feature or part of the face. Flattering bangs
should frame and focus on your positive features—not overwhelm or cover up your
face. And hair texture plays a role in determining what style of bangs will
best suit you. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Q2 - How often do you need to trim your bangs?<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Trimming really depends on the length and style of your
fringe. The shorter and blunter the fringe, the more frequent the upkeep about
four weeks. Styles and lengths such as Curtain bangs or side-swept fringe can
last a long time, more like six to eight weeks. Be sure to ask you stylist how
this would work out with your
appointment scheduling.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Q3 – How much time can I commit to styling my hair at home?<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Bangs aren’t wash and go they'll require a few minutes of
your time and this all depends on styling tips, hair routine and products that
you use. What works for one person may not for another. One pro tip I found was
that you may find that you have to blow-dry your hair the first thing out of
the shower otherwise your natural hair pattern sets in which could make it more
challenging to style. The same when you wake up and have to handle that bed
head. A quick spritzing with dry shampoo or wetting your bangs down and blow-drying.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> A few products that
will make a difference is a dry shampoo. We recommend Redkens Invisible Dry
Shampoo, this is a product that will help absorb oil and keep your fringe
fresh. Another is, Pureology, Soft
Finish Hairspray, a lightweight hairspray that allows you to restyle your hair
without leaving it sticky. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">And lastly, great bangs need great tools. A flat paddle brush (check out our collection
of Wet Brushes) and a flat iron to style bangs, we have both available in the
salon and currently have a hot tools promotion going on through April! If your bangs need to be
sleeker, make sure to use a heat protectant when using a flat iron to coat your
strands, we recommend Redken Iron Shape 11!<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Whatever you decide as always, I am a firm believer in going
straight to the source, your stylist; she knows your hair and will be able to
guide you and answer all of your questions. And remember we don’t want to see
your stylist get “Bangry- “A type of anger experienced by stylists when a
client cuts their own bangs”. So be sure
to come in with all the things, pictures and eye glasses, if you wear
them, so that we can play around and get
an idea if this is the look for you! <o:p></o:p></p>

the richest ornament of women.” —Martin Luther<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Hair
extensions are like art they have a life of their own the color, form, line,
shape, space, texture, and value. Would you buy a Monet, Van Gogh, Fishlock or Banksy
and just leave it on a shelf in your garage, not protected or cared for- I
think not! <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Hair
extensions look gorgeous from the moment you leave the salon, but keeping them
that way will require some attention on your part. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Here are a few tips on how to maintain your
hair extensions to keep that fresh, out of the salon look, flawless. It is
important to make sure that you put in place an aftercare routine, so we’re
here to fill you in on our top tips of what to do and what not to do to help
boost the longevity of your extensions.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></span><p></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-list: l2 level1 lfo2; text-indent: -.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">
</span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Brushing
- You can brush your extensions while your hair is wet or dry. The process is
very similar and interchangeable. General rules are to be very gentle and
careful. You should under not brush aggressively or pull on the strands! This
can lead to damage to both the extensions and your natural locks. The brushing
process should be repeated daily and a few times a day. If you comb it
regularly, tangling will be a thing of the past! We love the Wet Brush for hair
extensions. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">
</span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Hair
protectant -is a definite yes when asked should you use. Use a thermal
protectant spray <i>(our FAVORITE is Redken Iron shape)</i> before styling with
hot tools to prevent frizz and heat damage. Set your curling or flat iron to
about 350 degrees, but do not let yours exceed 380. Instead of pausing your
iron on a clamped section, let it glide through strands quickly to avoid
scorching effects.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo3; text-indent: -.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">
</span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Moisturize-
Your natural hair is being fed with a constant supply of natural oils, keeping
it nourished even if you have a laid-back haircare routine. However, your
extensions are only bonded to the root and unfortunately; they do not receive
any of these natural oils. So, to keep them filled with moisture, super smooth
to maintain that gorgeous shine, you should always schedule a weekly
conditioning treatment. Check with your stylist for which Kerastase or Redken
treatment they recommend.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Top 3 not do
do’s: <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">
</span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Never
sleep with damp or wet hair moisture will cause tangling, knotting and slippage
over time. Air dry instead this will put less stress on your natural
roots.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The best way to sleep with your
hair extensions is by wrapping them in silk or sleeping on a silk pillowcase to
prevent dryness. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">
</span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Avoid
applying heat directly to the adhesive or bonds. After getting out of the
shower, let your hair air-dry for about 10 minutes, and apply a heat protecting
spray before blow-drying. If possible, just air-dry altogether. The less heat
used on your extensions, the better! If you must use a blow dryer, use it on
the lowest setting, and if blow-drying curly extensions, use a diffuser<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; text-indent: -.25in;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">
</span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Despite
what you might think, you should not wash your extensions often.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In fact only very rarely. The reason why you
wash your natural hair so often is oils that come from the roots of the hair
and make it greasy. Extensions do not have a scalp so there is nothing that
makes them oily or dirty. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; line-height: 107%;">Nothing beats
having full authority on what looks good on you and having the ability to get
what you want. And we all know that good hair makes us feel like we can run the
world! The take away- Nobody has time for bad hair, get what you want, feel the
best you deserve to feel, and knowledge is power!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>You have the knowledge we are sharing to be
empowered to take care of your extensions so they can stay flawless for months
to come. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">-True or False, Fact
or Fiction, Evidence or Myth <o:p></o:p></p>
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;">- Hair Myth’s busted
and facts you should know about-<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Since the year 243 BC, when mythology Queen Berenice of
Egypt sacrificed her long hair to ensure her husband would return safely from
war is a prime example of how hair has always stood to represent power,
strength and beauty.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Obsession with hair
is hardly a modern invention.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Always
searching for ways to make hair thicker, longer, and stronger.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>So why the preoccupation? According to
anthropologists, healthy hair is a sign of good health and considered to be
attractive. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>And there you have it
that’s how the stories begin; I’m sure you’ve heard them: <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Eat bread crusts to make your hair curly. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Cutting your hair on a certain day of the week
will bring you good luck.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">It can be hard to separate fact from fiction depending on
the stories that we’ve heard about our hair especially when you were too young
to question them and just accepted what you heard. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Today, I’m here to reveal all the truths of
some of these stories. These fun facts will stretch across the span of
different topics such as: Hair Loss, growth, damage, and more.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u>Hair Loss <o:p></o:p></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fact or Fiction: Hair thinning generally comes from the
maternal side of the family.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fact or Fiction: Wearing a hat or a cap will make you go
bald.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Answer: Per scientific studies and research, it has been
proven that hair loss can be a genetic inheritance from either side of the
family. It can be paternal or maternal. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Answer: <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>You can wear
a hat for 24 hours a day or seven days a week, it will not cause any hair fall.
In order to cause baldness, the cap would have to be tight enough to pull your
hair from the roots, which may not be possible. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u>Hair Growth<o:p></o:p></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fact or Fiction: Cutting your hair frequently promotes hair
growth.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fact or Fiction: You should Brush your hair 100 strokes per
day for growth. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Answer: Cutting the hair regularly helps get rid of split
ends that can make your hair look better, but it does not promote hair growth.
On the contrary, hair is a non-viable tissue that grows at a steady rate and
there is no way to control the growth or non-growth by cutting it.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Answer:<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Hair brushing distributes oils from the scalp
more evenly along the strand for shininess and also stimulates blood flow to
the scalp, which can help with hair growth. However, the myth that you need to
brush your hair 100 strokes every day is false and infact brushing can create
friction on the hair, which can damage the cuticle and make hair appear frizzy.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u><o:p><span style="text-decoration: none;"> </span></o:p></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u><o:p><span style="text-decoration: none;"> </span></o:p></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u>Grey Hair:<o:p></o:p></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fact or Fiction: Plucking out one grey hair will make seven
grow back.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fact or Fiction: Stress can turn you grey overnight<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Answer: This is not correct, as each hair follicle only has
one hair; however plucking can damage the follicle to the extent that new hair
won't grow back.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Answer: Not happening! That's because the visible shaft of
every hair consists of dead cells, which can't change color. Your hair can only
change color gradually as it grows.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u>Hair Damage:<o:p></o:p></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fact or Fiction: The longer you skip washing your hair, the
more its natural oils can repair it.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Answer:<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Natural oils
can provide a layer of protection however, the oils on your scalp are not
capable of nourishing your strands like products designed with moisturizing
ingredients and fatty acids that will actually penetrate and protect your hair.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fact or Fiction: You can repair a split end.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Answer: Once the hair is broken, it’s broken. Split ends are
frayed strands of keratin caused by damage to the outermost part of the hair. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The end result of my research is that every hair myth that
I’ve read and read and re-read has ended in all of them being fiction. Remember
just because you may hear something repeated over and over again year after
year doesn’t mean that it’s true!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>So
there ya have it you can stop eyeing up your mother- in- laws side of the
family to figure out if your hubby’s hair is going to be thinning for future
Christmas portraits, you can pluck those greys without worry of growing 7 more,
you can stop wasting time brushing/stroking<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">
</span>your hair 100 times a night because everything that I have found here
has turned out to be false! That’s right we cannot believe everything we read
or hear. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Straight talk. Go directly to your stylist they will have
the answer for you and if they’re unable to answer at that moment they will be
able to get back to you! <o:p></o:p></p>Salon Sanityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06052629247474732146noreply@blogger.com0
